At a residence within the Karwiny district of Gdynia, near Gdańsk, authorities discovered the lifeless body of a six-year-old boy, showing signs of lacerations on his neck. According to some reports, a deceased dog was found within the same apartment. A comprehensive search has been launched for the boy’s father, 44-year-old Grzegorz Borys, who is speculated to have associations with the navy. The search operations, which include an exhaustive night-long search, inspection of forested areas, and thorough vetting of all leads, continue unabated. Local enforcement agencies are canvassing the area and examining vehicles. A region-wide mobilization of all law enforcement agencies in Pomerania is in progress.

On Friday, a gruesome discovery was made in Gdynia. A resident of the Karwiny district found the dead body of her 6-year-old son Olek in their apartment on Górniczej Street. The boy had a cut wound on his neck. Around 10 a.m., the Gdynia police received a report of a child murder. Media reports suggest a dog’s body was also found in the apartment, although the police have not confirmed this information.

The military police are actively participating in the operation. The child’s father, Grzegorz Borys, aged 44, has notable ties with the military. The Pomeranian police have disseminated his photographs, one of which prominently features him dressed in a naval uniform.

A manhunt is currently in full swing in Pomerania. The authorities are demonstrating exceptional determination in their pursuit. The intricacies of this case are being skillfully managed by a team of investigators, detectives, and prosecutors. An extensive search operation is being conducted, involving personnel from all police departments, military police, navy, forest wardens, fire brigades, and specialized search units.

The spokesperson for the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdańsk, Karina Kamińska, in an interview with Polsat News, talked about the search locations and the possibility of assisting the services.

The search for the suspected man lasted all night. Police officers, along with other services, combed through all the designated places. Especially forest areas, and residential as well as non-residential buildings. All this was done to reach the man, who is suspected of killing his son, as soon as possible – the spokesperson reported.

When asked about the possible whereabouts of Grzegorz Borys, she answered: “Considering that this man has not fallen into our hands yet, I wouldn’t like to point out specific places. The search is broad in all places where he could be staying. A lot of tips have come into the police after the publication of his image.”

This is another in a series of tragic incidents that have recently occurred in Poland. At the beginning of the week, we reported on another tragedy involving a child – a 71-year-old man in Poznan stabbed a preschool child to death.

A 5-year-old, brutally attacked in Poznan, has sadly died, according to Polish media. A senior man assaulted one of the kindergarten children.

Last week, reports from Polish media surfaced, narrating the chilling stories of a young man who abruptly murdered his parents and another man who fatally shot his wife. This darkness that has clouded over the nation continues to persist. The people of Poland are now left questioning the sudden resurgence of such severe acts of violence, particularly those involving children—crimes that, until now, have been notably rare.
