In a groundbreaking collaboration, two Polish companies are poised to change the landscape of breast cancer diagnostics by launching the world’s first mobile diagnostic centers powered by artificial intelligence (AI). Medical startup AILIS, known for its innovative early detection methods, and Sobiesław Zasada Automotive, a leading dealer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, recently signed a partnership agreement at the Economic Forum in Karpacz. Their project aims to bring top-tier breast cancer diagnostics to underserved areas, improving access to early detection for women across Poland and beyond.

Bringing Diagnostics to Patients

The partnership between AILIS and Sobiesław Zasada Automotive will result in the creation of self-sufficient, zero-emission mobile diagnostic centers. These units, equipped with advanced AI technology, will offer breast cancer screening services on par with the best stationary medical facilities. The main objective is to break down geographical barriers and provide access to high-quality diagnostic care in smaller towns and rural areas where specialized medical services are often limited.

“Our mobile diagnostic centers will bring breast cancer diagnostics closer to women, eliminating geographic obstacles and ensuring top-tier care,” said Michał Matuszewski, CEO of AILIS. “This project not only aligns with global trends but also aims to reduce social inequalities in healthcare access.”

Cutting-Edge AI Technology

AILIS spent eight years developing its proprietary system, which uses Parametric Dynamic Imaging and AI algorithms to detect breast cancer at an early stage. What sets this new diagnostic method apart is its non-invasive approach, which avoids radiation, eliminates the need for compression during the screening process, and allows for frequent, painless testing. Remarkably, results will be available within just 10 minutes.

Maciej Rżysko, Vice President of Sobiesław Zasada Automotive, expressed pride in the partnership. “We are proud to be part of this innovative project, which directly impacts women’s health. Poland is becoming a pioneer in mobile, advanced diagnostic units, and I’m thrilled that it’s happening with our zero-emission Mercedes-Benz vehicle.”

Powered by Sustainable Technology

The mobile centers will be housed on the Mercedes-Benz eActros 600, an advanced electric vehicle known for its long range and reliability. This eco-friendly platform aligns with the project’s sustainability goals, ensuring that high-quality diagnostics are delivered in an environmentally conscious manner.

The system developed by AILIS fits into the objectives outlined by the United Nations (UN) regarding health improvement and the reduction of inequalities in access to healthcare. By partnering with Sobiesław Zasada Automotive, AILIS aims to contribute to sustainable development efforts while significantly improving women’s healthcare outcomes.

Tackling the Breast Cancer Crisis

Breast cancer is a significant health threat for women in Poland. Every day, 58 Polish women are diagnosed with the disease, and 17 die from it. The early detection rate of breast cancer in Poland stands at only 41%, one of the lowest rates in Europe. Additionally, the country faces the highest mortality rate for breast cancer within the European Union, compounded by a shortage of healthcare professionals.

To address these challenges, AILIS has designed its AI-powered diagnostic system to offer quick, reliable, and frequent screenings, thereby increasing early detection rates. By making diagnostics more accessible, AILIS hopes to turn the tide against breast cancer in Poland and other countries.

A Vision for the Future

Currently undergoing clinical evaluation, the AILIS system is expected to launch in Poland first, followed by international markets. Future plans include expanding the system to feature a digital assistant capable of monitoring breast health, recommending regular check-ups, and assessing individual cancer risk based on patient data.

The innovative project is a promising step forward in tackling the global breast cancer crisis, particularly in regions where access to early detection is limited. As Poland positions itself as a leader in AI-driven mobile healthcare, the impact of this collaboration between AILIS and Sobiesław Zasada Automotive could reshape breast cancer care for women around the world.
