This accolade from Foreword magazine highlights the significance of independent publishers and innovative titles globally.

Michał Korkosz, also known as Rozkoszny, a prominent figure in Poland’s culinary scene, is renowned for his food blog and participation in “MasterChef Nastolatki.” His latest work, “Nowe Rozkoszne. Polskie przepisy, które ekscytują,” has captivated both national and international audiences. Published in the United States under the title “Polish’d: Modern Vegetarian Cooking from Global Poland,” this cookbook is a follow-up to his earlier book on traditional Polish cuisine. Through 100 recipes, Korkosz reimagines Polish cooking, blending contemporary and classic flavors.
Some of the standout recipes in “Polish’d” include spinach dumplings in a mushroom, miso, and soy sauce, roasted celery and smoked cheese pierogi, and fried oyster mushrooms with broad beans. These dishes showcase Korkosz’s ability to innovate while respecting culinary traditions.
Sara Zatopek, editor at The Experiment, the publisher of the English version, expressed pride in Korkosz’s achievement. “Foreword is a vital guide for booksellers, librarians, and readers. This is not Korkosz’s first international accolade. In 2017, he received two awards from Saveur magazine for his culinary photography. Since its release, “Polish’d vel Nowe Rozkoszne” has become the best-selling culinary book in Poland, with nearly 100,000 copies sold.
Korkosz shared his excitement on Instagram, saying, “It’s wonderful to see Polish cuisine finally gaining recognition worldwide, and I’m glad to play a small part in that.”
