Alexandra Grant Presents Szymborska-Inspired Exhibition in Warsaw

Alexandra Grant, a renowned American artist and long-time partner of actor Keanu Reeves, has unveiled a new exhibition at the Adam Mickiewicz Museum of Literature in Warsaw. The show, inspired by the works of Nobel laureate Wisława Szymborska, marks Grant’s fifth visit to Poland and her first exhibition in the country.

Grant explained her choice during an interview, suggesting that the modification prompts people to rethink how they perceive the world and not take anything for granted.

In an interview, she disclosed her Polish roots, stating that her great-grandfather came from Nowa Ruda in the Lower Silesia region. “I am practically one-eighth Polish,” she shared with enthusiasm, adding a personal layer to her visit and exhibition.

While Grant is influenced by her relationship with Reeves, she also draws heavily from literature, particularly poetry, which has become a central theme in her creative practice.
