The selection process for the Golden Beach Awards, conducted by beach atlas and involving tourism experts and influencers worldwide, including representatives from Poland, evaluated contenders based on several criteria. Not just the scenic landscape, but also the site’s significance to the local community, biodiversity, and available attractions played a crucial role in the final rankings.
Topping the list was an exotic beach in Bora Bora, described as an Instagrammers’ paradise, despite its high cost of visitation. South Africa’s Boulders Beach, famous for its penguin colonies, secured the second spot, followed by Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, celebrated for its rich cultural stories and historical significance. The list was a diverse compilation of global treasures, from Copacabana in Brazil to Maya Bay in Thailand, illustrating the wide array of stunning beach destinations around the world.
Ranked 85th, Sopot was recognized for its lively beaches and Europe’s longest wooden pier, offering unforgettable views of the Baltic Sea. The inclusion of other European beaches, like Lanżeron in Odessa and Sunny Beach in Bulgaria, highlights the continent’s rich and diverse coastal destinations.
