A shooting incident unfolded in the vicinity of the School and Preschool Complex No. 6 in Wałbrzych. A tragedy was narrowly averted as a metal ball sped past the face of a student who happened to be playing in the schoolyard at that moment. The search for the individual responsible for this incident continues unabated.

On Sunday, a complex housing a kindergarten and a school in Wałbrzych was targeted in a shooting.
“Someone shot at both the school and kindergarten buildings, first during the holidays, and now this past Sunday – reported Katarzyna Janke from Polsat News.”
“At this moment, we have not been able to identify either the perpetrator of the incident, nor the weapon that was used for shooting. – It is not known whether he shot with a weapon, for example, from an air rifle or a professional slingshot – emphasizes Katarzyna Janke.”
As a result of the action, damage occurred – a total of 70 windows were damaged. The repair is expected to cost 50,000 PLN. After the shelling of the facilities, metal balls remained on site.

During the shooting at the building in summer, there was no one on-site, as kids were on school holiday. It was different last Sunday when children were playing on the playground.
A Polsat News correspondent reported a student’s recollection of an incident where a metal ball zipped dangerously close to her head before hitting a nearby fence. Agnieszka, a worried mother to one of the students, voiced her fears to Polsat News, highlighting the potential security risks children could face at school.
The investigation into the incident that transpired over the holiday period was initially closed as the culprit remained elusive. However, the police have presently recommenced their search for the offender.
Marcin Świeży, the press officer for the city police commander in Wałbrzych, informed Polsat News that they will be conducting an extensive investigation into an incident on a notably large housing estate reputed to be the biggest in Wałbrzych. Their inquiry will involve determining the origin of the shots fired and assessing the scope of glass damage. Świeży ensures that the culprits will be apprehended sooner or later. He further expressed firm belief in the community’s willingness to cooperate, a factor that the police force has always valued highly, and hopes it will significantly aid them in this specific situation.
