“In the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, specifically Nakło nad Noteć, two horses daringly decided to hold a race. Breaking free from their enclosure, they frantically galloped through city streets, causing significant potential hazards on the road. Concerned about the escalating situation, local residents promptly sought assistance from the police.”
Police officers from Nakło nad Notecią swiftly discovered that their job was far from mundane. These officers found themselves involved in an unusual task of subduing two horses that were galloping unsupervised down the city streets.
On Wednesday, the Naklo Patrol Officers were alerted about “runaway horses”. Realizing the grave risks that such large animals could pose amidst traffic, the police promptly responded and rushed to the reported area. The scene of the incident was impossible to miss.
The police determined the identity of the equine caretaker, subsequently escorting the animals to her farm. The woman, aged 50, was penalized for her negligence in maintaining proper safety procedures concerning the animals’ care.
“The escapees, after independently “exploring” the area, have happily returned to the enclosure under supervision” – relayed Senior Constable Zofia Wrzeszcz.
“The law enforcement authorities have issued an appeal to all pet owners. “Ownership of an animal carries with it certain legal responsibilities. It is vitally important to realize that accountability for the animal’s behavior always falls on its owner,” they underscored.”
